Setting the Stage: VMware Explore 2026 in Las Vegas I August 31 – September 3, 2026

Get ready, Explorers! It’s time to start preparing for the “largest family reunion” once again! The team at Broadcom has been hard at work preparing VMware Explore 2026 in Las Vegas | August 31 – September 3, 2026! This remains one of the best opportunities to experience the full scope of the Broadcom ecosystem in person, away from the noise of daily operations.

I am fortunate and proud to say that I have attended Explore since 2023, shortly before Broadcom acquired VMware. I am grateful to have attended the events pre and post acquisition, because it helped develop an enhanced perspective of the industry, where my peers were in their acquisition journey, and reflect back on how things changed over time. There is no denying that the overall tone of Explore 2024 felt more tense, which is understandable – many customers felt anxious about forthcoming changes to products, pricing, support, and other facets of the ecosystem they developed a strong connection with over many years. That said, Explore 2025 was a breath of fresh air; I could feel the enthusiasm return and felt a sense of forward momentum across the community.

Per usual, the content at Explore is vast, flexible, and deeply informative. It’s not all about breakout sessions – there are a wealth of Community Quick Talk sessions, Hands-on Labs, Broadcom-staffed demonstration areas, and much more. If you open your mind and allow yourself to experience something new, I don’t think you will leave Explore without feeling a renewed sense of inspiration complemented by some new ideas.

Once again, Explore will be held in Las Vegas – which I know draws mixed reactions, depending on your preferences and geographic location. The fact of the matter is, Las Vegas is extremely well equipped to host a conference of this size. You can’t beat the convenience of the Las Vegas Strip and the wealth of venues within walking distance (or a short rideshare). I enjoy Las Vegas as a conference destination and hope they continue to host the event for some time. The conference venue, The Venetian Convention and Expo Center, remains one of the top destinations on the Las Vegas Strip, and offers excellent accommodations for conference attendees.

Registration opens on April 28, so save the date!

Whether you plan on attending for the technical deep dives, leadership insights, or networking opportunities, there is a place for you at Explore. You will meet a number of great people and forge lasting connections. I know I have. Will I see you there?

Highlights from my Explore 2025 experience:

  • Co-presented a breakout session with Broadcom VCF Solutions Architect and author of the vCROCS blog, Dale Hassinger. Read more about the presentation here!
  • Competed in the {Code} Hackathon with our team placing 1st! VICTORY!
  • Attended breakout and quick talk sessions covering topics such as VCF, Automation, Fusion, and more.

We’re still a few months out, so I’ll share more details as they become available! In the meantime, please consider following the official Explore 2026 social media channels to stay updated:
