The most wonderful time of year is approaching – and I don’t mean Halloween. Broadcom is ramping-up preparations for VMware Explore 2025 in Las Vegas I August 25 – 28, 2025! The past few years have been transformative for Broadcom, often outpacing bloggers and enthusiasts. Speaking from firsthand experience, I can say the insights you gain at Explore are unmatched.
I have been fortunate to attend Explore for the past two years (2023 & 2024), a particularly unique period as it spanned both before and after Broadcom’s acquisition of VMware. While attendance in 2024 felt slightly lower than in 2023, the energy remained just as strong. Short of the historically strong End User Computing (EUC) presence, the content offered in breakout and theater sessions were as informative as ever, alongside an abundance of Hands-On Labs and demonstrations.
Like many, I felt a bit uneasy following the acquisition, and attended Explore with hopes of gaining some clarity with respect to the overall vision Broadcom had in store. Predictably, a number of our questions and concerns were heard and acknowledged by Broadcom Leadership, which provided a sense of direction during an uncertain time. That’s one of the greatest benefits of attending Explore: the opportunity to represent your organization’s interests by interacting directly with Product Managers, Engineers, and other Broadcom Leadership figures and gain an understanding of what is to come.
The past couple of years, Explore has been held in Las Vegas, a city that sparks spirited opinions in either direction. Personally, I enjoy Las Vegas quite a bit and feel it’s one of the best locations to host a major conference. This is especially true for the conference venue, The Venetian Convention and Expo Center, which is among the top destinations on the Las Vegas Strip. Seriously, the hotel is beautiful, positioned right next to The Sphere (among other attractions), and offers great accommodations for conference attendees.
Whether you plan on attending for the technical deep dives, leadership insights, or networking opportunities, there is a place for you at Explore. There’s a reason people sometimes refer to it as the “largest family reunion of the year”! You will meet a number of great people and forge lasting connections. I know I have.
Highlights from my Explore 2024 experience:
- Co-presented a breakout session with Broadcom VCF Solutions Architect and author of the vCROCS blog, Dale Hassinger. Read more about the presentation here!
- Competed in the {Code} Hackathon with our team placing 2nd!
- Attended breakout and theater sessions covering topics such as VCF, Automation, Fusion, and more.
We’re still a few months out, so I’ll share more details as they become available! In the meantime, here are a few of the official VMware Explore 2025 social media channels to stay updated:

ps – one tiny typo at the bottom, I think you meant to list 2024 instead of 2025: “Highlights from my Explore 2025 experience:”
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m really looking forward to attending Explore and filling my schedule with new experiences. Last year set the bar high, so I can only imagine what’s in store this time around. I’ll keep a close eye on updates from your team!
Appreciate you catching that typo – it has been corrected.
Best,
Don
